Brighton’s ideal location, its famed nightlife and its “alternative” persona have really put it on the map in recent years, both nationally and internationally, and it is often called “Britain’s coolest city”.

Brighton has two universities and numerous colleges, making it a thriving student city, with a nightlife to match. Brighton and Hove are also famous for having the first Green party government in UK history, for the Mods and Rockers riots in the ‘60s, as the setting of Graham Greene’s Brighton Rock, and for many other reasons.
