Brighton s shopping area is a maze of centuries old alley-ways and lanes, creating a different shopping experience. Brighton s main shopping area is known as the Lanes - narrow winding streets full of small shops selling pretty much anything, from wool and fabrics, jewellery and antiques, ethnic items, perfumes and herbs, all the while the smell of fresh roasting coffee will have you taking frequent breaks at the surrounding tea / coffee gardens, mixing with the locals.

Brightons promenade features many quirky shops selling ethnic items, and many interesting souvenirs and gifts for you to take home. It is another ideal area of Brighton where you can combine your shopping with stops for lunch or a good meal, like Fish and Chips take-away, and sit near the sea enjoying the view.
